Are You 100% Sure You Will Go To Heaven?

In Romans 10:9 we see exactly what's required for salvation: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

If you were to die today and stand before God, and He asked you why He should let you into Heaven, what would you say?

If you were to die today, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven? 

If your answer is, “I think so", or "I hope so", or "I'm a pretty good person", then please read on because the Bible tells us we can be 100% sure.

 One day you and I will die and we get to choose one of two places where we will spend eternity, meaning "forever" - either Heaven or Hell.  

The Lord has given us a gift of Eternal Life with Him in Heaven, however this gift cannot be earned.  To have earned it, we would have had to live our lives without ever sinning - and this is something that no person, except our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has ever done. 

However, because the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of eternal life is a gift, it only has to be received.  It is ours forever, never to be lost or taken away!

The payment for this gift has already been paid for by our precious Lord and Savior.  He paid for the price of this gift through His death on the cross.  

The following verses reveal His wonderful promises and truths to us:

1.  We can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 – “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

2. We are all sinners which means we fall short of earning our way into Heaven.

Romans 3:10 – “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one'”
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” 

Romans 5:12 – “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

3. We deserve punishment for our sins, but Jesus offers us the free gift of eternal life with Him.

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

4. God accepts us exactly as we are, so there’s no reason to put it off.

Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

5. We must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and accept His gift of eternal life.

Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
